About

This is a blog that explores the intersection of knowledge management and learning in a corporate context. It's about how to make training more relevant and aligned to an organisation's goals. It's not about a particular product or methodology but has a leaning towards technology enabled performance improvement.

You'll quickly deduce my prejudices - which come from a 30 year career in IT training, elearning, knowledge management and process improvement.  Much of my career has been with major software companies including SAP and TIBCO. As a consequence you may find me at times either (1) hopelessly optimistic that software can transform organisational performance; or (2) somewhat cynical of the bloated claims of software providers.

Despite my interest in the role that technology can play in this area, I hope we can all agree that overall - performance improvement in any organisation is about the people rather than the technology.

I'm based in the UK, so please forgive me if I use English (UK) spelling.

I'd welcome your feedback and contribution to the blog.  If you have an article which you think fits in this context, guest contributors are welcome.  Enjoy!
